Social Media Coordinator

As a member of our rapidly expanding team, the Social Media Coordinator will use their creativity, organisational skills and passion for social media to support and manage a number of Technology Networks’ social media pages and groups. They will work closely with the editorial team to ensure posts are highly relevant and resonate with our followers, maximising reach and engagement.
This is a hybrid working role, home working will be considered for the right candidate.
Assist in growing our social media pages through driving meaningful engagement
Manage the day-to-day activities related to Technology Networks’ and social media. To include scheduling, monitoring, tagging and analysis of social media conversations across the following platforms.
Facebook (pages and groups)
Twitter
Instagram
Ensure high levels of engagement and interaction on the above platforms through:
Creating engaging text and image-based content
Sourcing internal and external articles, news releases, media, images and other content to share across our social media channels
Facilitating and engaging in conversations with our audience, respond to messages and comments
Exploring potential partnerships with relevant companies/pages
Work alongside our inhouse Social Media Specialist to develop and maintain optimal posting schedules
Required Skills
Excellent writing and editing skills, with a real eye for detail
Creative, with an ability to produce engaging content
Strong time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize
Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects at any one time
Effective communication skills with remote teams
Self-motivated with a high level of enthusiasm
Education & Experience
1-2 years in a corporate environment or business setting; preference for digital media, social media, science communication, marketing, or similar professional experience
Bachelor’s degree in a science or digital media-related field preferred
Demonstratable passion for science and science communication
Marketing experience is an asset
Understanding of the science industry is desirable
