Neurologist
at Ghent University Hospital
Dr. Arnout Bruggeman is a neurologist at Ghent University Hospital with expertise in movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease. He is the first author of the GUT-PARFECT trial, which investigates the effects of fecal microbiota transplantation in patients with Parkinson’s disease. This work is part of his PhD research at the VIB-UGent Center for Inflammation Research, where he studies the gut–brain axis in Parkinson’s disease.
