Dr. Arthur “Bud” Burnett II, MD, MBA, FACS, is an internationally recognized urologic surgeon, scientist, and educator. He is the Patrick C. Walsh Distinguished Professor of Urology and Professor of Oncology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Burnett pioneered discoveries on the role of nitric oxide in erectile physiology, which led to the development of Viagra, and has performed over 3,000 radical prostatectomies with expertise in nerve-sparing techniques. He specializes in prostate cancer surgery, male sexual medicine, and major pelvic reconstruction, and was the lead urologic surgeon in the world’s first total penis and scrotum transplant. Dr. Burnett is a former president of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, author of The Manhood Rx, and recipient of numerous awards including the AUA’s Hugh Hampton Young Award.
