Barbara Lopez Kunz is chief executive officer of Caidya. She is a global healthcare and life sciences executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience spanning clinical research, diagnostics, medical devices, biopharma, and public health. She has served on Caidya’s Board of Directors since 2022 and has played a key role in shaping the company’s governance, strategy, and growth. Prior to joining Caidya, Kunz served as president and chief executive officer of the Drug Information Association (DIA), where she led a significant digital and organizational transformation. Previously, she held senior executive leadership roles at Battelle, Thermo Fisher Scientific, DuPont, and ICI (now AstraZeneca), leading global businesses, driving growth, advancing innovation, and building high-performing organizations across international markets. Kunz serves on the boards of Werfen and Aptevo Therapeutics and is vice chair of the Board of Children’s National Hospital. She holds an MSc in polymer science from The University of Akron, completed the International Executive Program at INSEAD, is a DIA fellow, and is a certified director through the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
