Becky Miller, PhD profile page

Dr. Becky Miller joined the NIH Office of the Director’s Office of Strategic Coordination in 2014, where she serves as a program leader overseeing the Human Virome Program, the High-Risk, High-Reward Research program, and the Advancing Non-Invasive Optical Imaging Approaches for Biological Systems initiative. Prior to joining the Office of Strategic Coordination, Dr. Miller completed postdoctoral training at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, where she investigated the mosquito transmission of drug-resistant malaria. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame, where her research focused on genomic variation in malaria parasites, and she was also a GLOBES NSF IGERT Fellow. Dr. Miller received her M.S. in molecular biology from Brigham Young University, where she studied the population genetics and phylogeography of mountain whitefish. She also earned a B.S. in zoology from Brigham Young University.
