Colin Andrew Cook, PhD profile page

Dr. Colin Cook is the technical founder of XDemics Corporation and current chief technology officer, where he leads the development of next-generation Expansify™ cultureware and Profusion™ bioreactor technologies designed to enable scalable, reproducible, and cost-effective manufacturing of cell and gene therapies. Cook earned his PhD in medical engineering from Caltech as a member of the program’s inaugural class. He earned an MSc in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University, with a focus on tissue engineering and bioreactor design. His research interests span medical devices, biomanufacturing, and global health. Cook has been recognized with the Demetriades–Tsafka–Kokkalis Prize in Entrepreneurship and multiple national fellowships and scholarships for academic and research excellence.
