Daniel Hornburg is vice president of biomarkers and precision medicine (global) at Bruker, where he leads global scientific strategy and the development of next-generation proteomics technologies, including advanced LC-MS platforms and application developments. His work spans key application areas such as immunopeptidomics, chemoproteomics, spatial proteomics, and single-cell proteomics. Previously, he held senior scientific and leadership roles at Seer, where he progressed to vice president of proteomics, focusing on multiomics strategy, team leadership, and scientific direction supporting product and platform development. He also spent several years at Stanford University School of Medicine as a senior postdoctoral scientist and scientific consultant, contributing to computational biology, multiomics and lipidomics research within precision medicine initiatives. Earlier, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, where he worked on immunoproteomics and systems-level biology. He earned his PhD (Dr. rer. nat., summa cum laude) from the Max Planck Institute, specializing in neuroproteomics and mass spectrometry-based research on neurodegeneration
