David James, PhD profile page

Dr. David James is a professor of bioprocess engineering within the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Sheffield, where his research focuses on the production of recombinant protein biopharmaceuticals, systems biotechnology and gene vector engineering, which led to the founding of SynGenSys. In 2006, James was appointed chair of bioprocess engineering at the University of Sheffield with a Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award, Research and Training in Biopharmaceutical Bioprocessing for UK Bioindustry. James has also held academic positions at the University of Kent, the University of Queensland and the Australian Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology.
