Chia-An is a driven and detail-oriented scientist with 11 years of research experience. She received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Southern California, where she studied the molecular basis of aging in the lab of Dr. Sean Curran and received the USC Research Enhancement Fellowship, the Glenn/AFAR Scholarship for Research In the Biology of Aging, and USC Gerontology Dean’s Affiliated PhD Award. Currently, she is part of the R&D team for qPCR platforms at the Genetic Sciences Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she helped develop a rapid COVID-19 detection workflow on saliva samples and a cost-friendly but robust performing RT-PCR master mix.
