Maryna Panamarova is a Cellular Modelling Specialist at the Cellular Operations of the Sanger Institute. Her core expertise within the team lies in the scale-up and protocol optimisation of complex cellular in vitro models of cancer, inflammatory, dermatological, and female reproductive diseases. Maryna earned her BSc from the University of Edinburgh and completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge. She was then awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship at King’s College London, where she worked with a small team of multidisciplinary scientists to develop a complex cellular model for the neuromuscular disorder FSHD to facilitate therapeutic screening.
