Dr. Elizabeth Wellberg received her PhD in toxicology in 2009 from Texas A&M University, where she studied mammary gland biology and development. She completed postdoctoral training at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where she studied breast cancer metabolism and the effects of obesity on breast cancer risk and progression. She currently leads a lab at the University of Oklahoma Health Campus, focused on projects that investigate how weight gain and adipose tissue promote breast cancer progression and how breast cancer therapies impact metabolic function in cancer survivors.
