Eran Mizrahi is the CEO and majority owner of Source86, a BRCGS AA-certified B2B food ingredient sourcing, private label, and supply chain management company. Source86 imports from more than 30 countries and supplies major U.S. retailers including Costco, Whole Foods, Target, Trader Joe's, and Walmart, working with a distributed team of roughly 47 people across the U.S., Philippines, India, Argentina, and Colombia. Before Source86, Eran served as COO at Nuts.com, where he led operations through a period of rapid growth, and was an early team member at Plated, the meal kit company later acquired by Albertsons. Across these roles he has spent more than fifteen years building the operational backbone of food businesses: sourcing relationships, freight and import workflows, food safety systems, and the financial reporting that ties them together. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School. He grew up in South Africa, where his family still runs Universe Corp, a dry cleaning equipment business he continues to advise on the side. Eran's work centers on the parts of food supply that rarely get written about: long-lead ingredient planning, ocean freight, tariff strategy, COA review, and the contracts and trust required to move commodities reliably from farm to retail shelf. He has built much of Source86's operating stack himself, including custom tools for ocean shipment tracking, margin analytics, and deal pipeline reporting. His approach is grounded in operational discipline, deep supplier relationships, and a preference for systems that work without needing him in the room. He writes and speaks occasionally on supply chain risk, sourcing economics, and the realities of running a globally distributed team, and has appeared on podcasts covering AI risk in supply chains and ingredient sourcing. He is based in the Los Angeles area with his family.
