Gert Van Isterdael profile page

Since joining the VIB Center for Inflammation Research (IRC) in 2013, Gert Van Isterdael has been instrumental in developing the IRC Flow Core, which evolved into the VIB Flow Core Ghent. Under his leadership, the facility has become a leading European academic core, actively contributing to technology benchmarking and innovation. Gert is an active member of the International Society for Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC). He was awarded the ISAC SRL Emerging Leader Award (2016–2020) and received the Royal Microscopical Society (RMS) Award for Flow Cytometry in 2021. In 2024, he was elected by the ISAC membership to serve as an ISAC Councilor.
