Greg can draw on over thirty years in compliance management, across market sectors and in a range of subject areas (Legionella, fire, asbestos, health and safety, sustainability and access). Greg is a recognised expert and as a result has been asked for support in a range of investigations, including, most notably, the Legionella outbreak in Barrow-in-Furness in August 2002. He has been involved in investigations carried out by the local authorities, HSE and ORR. With his extensive working knowledge, Greg is a regular presenter and has spoken at events run by, amongst others CIBSE, IWFM, IIRSM, BISRA, the Health Protection Agency, The British Safety Council, RICS, and IOSH. He is a regular contributor to the industry press with over 200 articles published to date. He was the author of the original IWFM good practice guide to risk management, published in 2010, chairing the CIBSE review of TM 13 “Minimising the risk of Legionnaires’ disease” and been involved in discussions with various Government departments and others (DECC (now BEIS), Defra, the HPA (now Public Health England) and CCC) on compliance and sustainability.
