Scalables founder and CEO Dr. Hür Köser is leading the company’s mission to democratize lab automation through an AI-enabled, modular, and reconfigurable platform. An inventor, entrepreneur, and business executive, he has built and advised ventures across biotechnology, life sciences, and diagnostics, with a career centered on translating advanced engineering into practical products that accelerate research and commercialization. Earlier in his career, Dr. Köser served as an associate professor at Yale School of Engineering & Applied Science, where he led research in microfluidics and related technologies. He later co-founded Ancera, a Yale spinout that brought automation-driven food safety technology to market. During the pandemic, he served as a team lead in the RADx Initiative, helping guide promising diagnostic technologies through rapid commercialization, scale-up, and regulatory progress. Today, he brings that blend of scientific depth and operating experience to Scalables, focusing on making laboratory automation more accessible, flexible, and scalable for modern life sciences teams.
