Irene Sarkar, PhD profile page

Irene Sarkar is a Field Application Scientist with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Pharma Analytics team. In this role, she is responsible for providing technical and scientific support and expertise to BioProduction customers across Benelux and Nordics, ensuring successful implementation and use of analytical solutions. She currently lives in Utrecht, Netherlands and completed her PhD in Immunology at the University of Bergen, Norway. Prior to joining Thermo Fisher, Irene gained experience in the preclinical space of drug development, serving as an Application Scientist for 4.5 years, focusing on immunotherapy and ATMPs. She also played a key role in product development and was the lead scientist for multiple projects with academic key opinion leaders and biopharma laboratories, resulting in publications in peer-review journals. Throughout her career, Irene has combined deep technical expertise with commercial insight to enable customers to adopt innovative technologies, enabling biopharma partners to accelerate process development, improve manufacturing efficiency, and deliver life-changing therapies to patients worldwide.
