James E. Crowe, PhD profile page

Dr. Crowe holds the Ann Scott Carell Chair and directs the Vanderbilt Center for Antibody Therapeutics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine, the National Academy of Inventors, and the American Academy of Microbiology. He has authored more than 400 peer-reviewed publications — including important reports in Cell, Science, Nature, The New England Journal of Medicine, and JAMA. His honors include the Harrington Prize for Innovation in Medicine, the Daland Prize, the Future Insight Prize, the AAMC Award for Distinguished Research in the Biomedical Sciences, the ASCI Stanley J. Korsmeyer Award, and the Golden Goose Award. His laboratory has discovered many human monoclonal antibodies that have been tested or used in humans, including the COVID-19 antibody combination, tixagevimab + cilgavimab, which was authorized in over 70 countries and administered to millions of patients.
