Prof. Julian Gough is a world-leading bioinformatician and academic entrepreneur. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, and later completed a fellowship at Stanford University in the Medical School. He served as an academic research group leader at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge. Recognized for pioneering contributions to bioinformatics algorithms and databases, he has earned an H-index of 66, approaching 50,000 citations, and was named Cambridge Enterprise Academic Entrepreneur of the Year in 2020. He is the Founder and CEO of OutSee, an innovative biotech startup leveraging proprietary AI to predict diseases directly from genomic data. He also previously founded Mogrify, a cell reprogramming company.
