Kenji Hashimoto, PhD profile page

Dr. Kenji Hashimoto received his PhD from Kyushu University. After he worked at the National Institute of Health, the National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry and a pharmaceutical company, he moved to Chiba University Graduate School of Medicine in 2001. Since 2005, Hashimoto has worked as a professor at Chiba University Center for Forensic Mental Health. He is also an adjunct professor at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University and Southwest Medical University. His primary expertise is translational research on psychiatric disorders. In particular, Hashimoto investigates the molecular mechanisms of ketamine’s antidepressant effects using its enantiomers (arketamine and esketamine) and the roles of brain–body communication in psychopathology.
