Dr. Laura DeLeon, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, RNC-OB, has dedicated her career to advancing compassionate, equitable, and evidence-based care for women. She began her nursing career in 1997 after earning her associate degree in nursing in Lima, Ohio. She later completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lubbock Christian University in 2013 and her Master of Science in Nursing as a family nurse practitioner from West Texas A&M University in 2016.
DeLeon has practiced in a private gynecology clinic in Las Vegas since 2016, providing comprehensive care to women across the lifespan. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Touro University Nevada in 2024, focusing her doctoral work on improving HPV vaccination rates in women’s health through an evidence-based protocol. Her DNP project received first place at the 2024 National Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health (NPWH) Conference, recognizing its innovation and clinical impact. She will further disseminate her findings as a podium presenter at the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) National Conference in 2026.
DeLeon is passionate about advancing the field of women’s health and currently serves on the NPWH National Advocacy Committee for Women’s Health, contributing to national policy, education, and advocacy initiatives that support women and families.
