Principal Scientist, Computational Biology

 at Evotec

Dr. Maren Feist is a Principal Scientist in Computational Biology at Evotec, where she specializes in designing, analyzing, and interpreting transcriptomic data to support early-stage drug discovery. Her work spans bulk, high throughput, and single cell RNA seq platforms, with a strong focus on using transcriptomics as a phenotypic readout to uncover mechanisms of action, predict toxicity, and enable data driven decision making. Before transitioning into computational biology, she conducted extensive research in molecular medicine, completing her doctorate at the University of Göttingen on signaling and metabolic interactions in lymphoma. She subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher in cell signaling and metabolism before joining Evotec in 2018, where she now integrates her signaling expertise with computational approaches. Dr. Feist is passionate about bridging experimental biology and data science to generate clear, actionable insights that accelerate phenotypic and translational drug discovery.
