Matej Metkovic has held various lab-based positions in the cell and gene therapy field, working on CAR T and CAR Treg therapies as well as the exoneural biology of macrophages. Building on this research background, he transitioned to the commercial side of the life sciences industry, where he focused on supporting scientists by providing technical education and access to innovative reagents and instrumentation. Metkovic also led business development initiatives introducing new technologies designed to enhance and streamline experimental workflows. Today, he leads Wasteless Bio, a circular marketplace dedicated to lowering barriers for scientists, extending the life of valuable lab resources and promoting more sustainable research practices.
