Dr. Mohammed Uddin is a Canadian-trained neurogeneticist who primarily focuses on brain-related rare genetic diseases and cancer. He is the founder of GenomeArc Inc. and the founding director of The Center for Applied and Translational Genomics (CATG) at MBRU, Dubai Health. Mohammed was a Banting Fellow at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. Among his notable achievements, he identified the OTUD7A gene as the cause of 15q13.3 microdeletion syndrome and developed numerous analytical methodologies for clinical genomics. He is currently working on developing an ASO drug for Dravet syndrome, modeling glioblastoma using advanced machine learning algorithms, and exploring applications of quantum computing.
