
R&D Director - Workflow Development
at Agilent Technologies
Dr. Natalia Romero is the R&D Director of Workflow Development at the Cell Analysis Division of Agilent Technologies, contributing to developing analytical life-science solutions for characterizing cell metabolism, phenotype, and function. She obtained her Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Universidad de la Republica, Uruguay, where she studied the role of reactive oxygen species in disease models, followed by research and teaching positions at the same institution. From 2011-2015 she conducted postdoctoral studies at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital - Harvard Medical School in the field of mechanisms of redox signaling in the cardiovascular system. In 2015, she joined Seahorse Technologies– now part of Agilent Cell Analysis Division - as Senior R&D Scientist, where she has led the development of new assays to study bioenergetic metabolism using Seahorse XF technology. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has contributed as an inventor in several patents.
