Nathan Frey, PhD profile page

Nathan is a principal machine learning scientist and group leader at Prescient Design, Genentech. At Prescient, he leads the foundation models for drug discovery team, developing and applying machine learning methods to molecular discovery and design. Previously, Nathan was a postdoctoral associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology working with the Lincoln Lab supercomputing and AI groups. He was a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, where he obtained his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering. During graduate school, Nathan was an affiliate scientist with the materials project at the Berkeley Lab.
