Dr. Nela Rosic is an active multidisciplinary researcher with a PhD in biomedical sciences (University of Queensland) and experience in xenobiotic enzymes, directed evolution, and drug discovery. She has been awarded competitive fellowships and grants, including the Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) by the Australian Research Council. Her research is focused on medicinal bio-products, skin protection using natural marine sunscreens, environmental stress markers, host-microbe interaction, genomics, and protein engineering. She received a BSc (Hons First Class) in molecular biology and physiology and an MSc in biology from the University of Belgrade. After moving to Brisbane, she completed a PhD at the University of Queensland.
