Nelson Cotrim, MSc profile page

Nelson Cotrim is a field application specialist at Omega Bio-tek, Inc., responsible for providing technical support for its European customers and distributors, as well as installing and validating nucleic acid purification solutions on high- throughput automated platforms. He obtained his degrees at the University of Sao Paulo and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. During his Masters, he worked with human genetic diseases and population genetics. While working as an R&D scientist, he developed point- of- care diagnostic devices based on either nucleic acid amplification or using single-molecule fluorescence techniques. At the Institute of Medical Genetics (Wales), he analyzed the results of NGS and Sanger sequencing assays for the diagnosis of human genetic diseases.
