Jens Brockmeyer has been the Head of the Department of Food Chemistry and a Professor for Analytical Food Chemistry at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, since 2016. Prior to this role, he served as the Research Group Leader in Food Proteomics and Allergenomics at the University of Münster, Germany, from 2010 to 2016. His contributions extend beyond academia, as he is a founding member of the German governmental method development board “Protein Mass Spectrometry in Food Analysis.” Additionally, he is an active participant in the working group “Molecular Biology and Biochemical Analysis” of the German Food Chemistry Society. Overall, Jens Brockmeyer’s work significantly impacts food safety, quality and our understanding of food composition.
