Resia is a distinguished research professor and head of the Physiological Sciences Department at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Her research primarily focuses on blood coagulation and circulating inflammatory markers and how these play a role in inflammatory conditions like type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and neuro-inflammatory conditions like Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.
