Salvatore Azzollini, PhD profile page

Salvatore Azzollini holds a master’s degree in photonics from the Politecnico di Milano in Italy. He began his career as a business analyst at a multinational company specializing in SAP solutions for internal accounting management, where he gained experience in corporate processes and data analysis. In October 2021, he transitioned into academia to pursue a PhD, which he completed in October 2024. His doctoral research focused on developing and optimizing an advanced imaging technology, D-FFOCT, and applying it to three-dimensional cell cultures, particularly retinal organoids. Alongside his PhD, he completed entrepreneurship training programs, including the myStartup program at Sorbonne University and the HEC Challenge+ program, further strengthening his expertise at the intersection of science and business.
