Sharat Warrier, PhD profile page

Dr. Sharat Warrier is the Head of Cell Culture Media R&D at Ivy Farm Technologies, bringing over a decade of expertise in stem cell line and cell culture media development. His background includes a deep focus on the mechanistic regulation of cells, initially centered around human embryonic development and the use of embryonic stem cells in infertility research. This led to further work with induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) technology, where he explored the underlying mechanisms of complex neurodegenerative diseases. During his time at the University of Oxford, Dr. Warrier lectured on the therapeutic applications of pluripotent cells. Now, at Ivy Farm Technologies, he applies this wealth of knowledge to lead the development of serum-free media tailored to various cell lines. His team is also pioneering development of cost-efficient cell culture media, with the aim of achieving cost parity in cultivated meat production.
