Wesam Alwan, PhD profile page

Wesam is the global UV‑Vis Product Manager at Agilent Technologies, bringing extensive experience as an application scientist across molecular spectroscopy platforms, including UV‑Vis/NIR, FTIR, and infrared imaging systems. He holds a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Monash University (Australia), where his research focused on fragment‑based drug discovery targeting bacterial virulence. Prior to joining Agilent, Wesam worked in science policy at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague, focusing on medical countermeasures of chemical warfare agents.
