Xiaoliang “Ken” Luo, PhD profile page

Xiaoliang is a Computational Neuroscience and Machine Learning researcher whose work bridges neural networks and brain function. During his PhD at University College London, he investigated how higher-level brain regions interact with sensory areas during concept learning. His postdoctoral research at UCL focused on spatial cell types and applications of large language models in neuroscience. He recently led an international collaboration of 35+ scientists examining LLMs' capability to predict neuroscience research outcomes. Currently, he works with open-source communities to explore how LLMs can accelerate scientific discovery.
