Cerebellar Cortex of a Rat

This image shows the cerebellar cortex of a rat which has been triple stained to show the cortical DNA (blue), membrane-bound IP3 receptors (green) and glial cells (red). Using multiphoton microscopy, researchers were able to create large-scale high resolution brain maps of protein expression.
