New Technique for Looking Inside Fruit Flies

This image of the fruit fly gut, and other visceral organs, was achieved using a new technique known as Bellymount. This technique allows researchers to peer inside the live tissue of fruit flies in real time, such that there is a reduction in organismal death, unlike that which is found by using other imaging methods.
