Ion Chromatography

The separation of molecules within a mixture is vital for many workflows in chemistry and biology, from isolating and purifying biopharmaceuticals to analyzing food samples. Separation may be required to remove contaminants, isolate species for identification or quantification or purify target analytes. The specific way in which this can be achieved will, however, depend on the properties of analytes within a sample and how these may be exploited to achieve separation. Ion chromatography (IC) is one such technique.
