Bruker Daltonics Announces MALDI Molecular Imaging and Mass Spectrometry Sample Preparation Web Seminars

Bruker Daltonics announced a MALDI Molecular Imaging web seminar, to take place Tuesday April 17th at 9:00 AM Western European Time and then again later that day at noon Eastern US Time.
In addition, Bruker Daltonics announced another webinar, “Affinity Enrichment: New Jacalin Glyco-beads for MS Sample Preparation,” to take place on Friday, April 20th at 9:00 AM Western European time, followed by the same web seminar at noon Eastern US Time.
“Visualization of the spatial distribution of proteins and small molecules as potential biomarkers is a promising tool in the exciting fields of biomarker evaluation in drug development and as a molecular visualization tool for pathologists. MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry provides a fast and reliable screening tool for direct analysis from tissue. This web seminar provides an excellent overview of Bruker Daltonics’ comprehensive MALDI Imaging solution, ranging from sample preparation to statistical evaluation of candidate biomarkers in tissue,” says Victor Fursey, Assistant Vice President.
“In this regard, we have just added an innovative ImagePrep™ device for high performance automated tissue sample preparation and a unique ClassImaging™ algorithm to our MALDI Molecular Imager™ solution. The MALDI Molecular Imager can be used for biomarker detection, tissue classification and pathology research, as well as for imaging the distributions of drugs and metabolites in drug development. The novel statistical analysis of tissue images enables the concept of ClassImaging, the molecular imaging equivalent of diagnostic multimarker panels,” Fursey says.
On April 20th, Bruker scientists will host a webinar on Bruker’s glycoprotein kits, which allow direct capture of glycosylated peptides and proteins from human serum or other complex protein sources and subsequent characterization, as well as identification, by MALDI-TOF identification and MALDI-TOF/TOF analysis.
In addition, on May 30th, Bruker Daltonics will conduct a webinar on microorganism identification using Bruker’s MALDI BioTyper 2.0 software and system solution.
