Eurofins MWG Operon Launches QuickLC™ Purification in the Americas
News Aug 18, 2009
QuickLC purification is a proprietary chromatographic purification process that offers purity levels of 85% and above—equal to or greater than the levels obtained by HPLC purification. Extensive testing in end user laboratories has shown that oligos purified with the QuickLC method perform identically to oligos that go through the older HPLC process.
The main advantage of the QuickLC purification method is that oligos can be delivered in about half the time of HPLC-purified oligos. QuickLC purity oligos are typically shipped within just 2 days!
A welcome side effect of the QuickLC purification method is a significantly increased yield. Yields are typically twice that of HPLC-purified oligos.
QuickLC purification is now available for standard oligos and many oligos with modifications. Eurofins MWG Operon has established introductory pricing for QuickLC purification that is half the price of HPLC purification. As genome editing technologies advance toward clinical therapies, they are raising hopes of a completely new way to treat disease. However, challenges need to be addressed before potential treatments can be widely used in patients. To tackle these challenges, the National Institutes of Health has launched the Somatic Cell Genome Editing program, which has awarded multiple grants including more than $3.6 million to assess the safety of genome editing in human cells and tissues.
