Invitrogen Introduces NCODE™ Human miRNA Microarray V3
News Mar 31, 2008
Invitrogen Corporation announced the launch of the company’s NCode™ Human miRNA Microarray V3. Including new content available from the Sanger database 10.0 as well as 373 novel sequences discovered through deep sequencing, the Ncode human miRNA microarray enables sensitive and reproducible profiling of miRNAs within a sample.
With the NCode™ array, researchers have a powerful tool to profile miRNA expression patterns in a given disease or developmental state. The array is spotted with extensive controls for confidence in experimental results.
In treating inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), physicians can have a hard time telling which newly diagnosed patients have a high risk of severe inflammation or what therapies will be most effective. Now researchers report finding an epigenetic signature in patient cells that appears to predict inflammation risk in a serious type of IBD called Crohn’s disease.
