Since its establishment in 1987, the Eurosensors series of conferences are the only European forum to cover the entire field of Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems.
The Eurosensors conference provides opportunity to bring together European scientists and engineers from academia, national research institutes and companies to present and discuss the latest results in the general field of solid-state sensors, actuators, microsystems and nanosystems.
The conference goals are to stimulate interaction and knowledge exchange between the delegates in a friendly atmosphere.
The technical programme will start with presentations by invited plenary speakers:
- Prof. Simon Middelhoek, Delft University of Technology
- Prof. Gregory T. A. Kovacs, Stanford University
- Prof. Pasqualina M. Sarro, Delft University of Technology/DIMES
- Prof. Michiel J. Vellekoop, Vienna University of Technology
- Patric R. Salomon, 4M2C PATRIC SALOMON GmbH
Currently the Eurosensors conference invites contributions (submission deadline for a 2-page abstract: 28 April 2006), describing the latest scientific and technological research results in subjects including, but not restricted to:
- Theory, modelling and design.
- Materials and technology.
- Micro- and nanofabrication for sensors and actuators.
- Physical, chemical and biological sensors and actuators.
- Micro fluidic & micro analysis devices and systems.
- Optical MEMS and RF MEMS.
- Micro power generation.
- Interface and system issues. Sensor networks.
- Packaging and assembly.
Elsevier is sponsor of Eurosensors XX and selected authors will be invited to submit updated papers to Special Volumes of Sensors and Actuators A: Physical and B: Chemical.
At the end of the conference, during the Closing Session, a "Best Poster Award" and a "Best Presentation Award" will be given.
Parallel to the technical programme an exhibition will feature vendors of products and services relevant to the field of sensors.
