Nanoscale Crystal Formation Revealed by Powerful X-ray Beams

Graduate research assistant Xuetian Ma holds a reaction vessel similar to those used to study nanoscale crystal formation. The vessels were made of a high-strength quartz tube about a millimeter in diameter and about two inches long.
