GeneGo, Inc. has announced that Peakadilly NV, Belgium, has licensed MetaCore for use in proteomics research. MetaCore will be available via the intranet to Peakadilly.
It was important to Peakadilly that MetaCore content covers multiple levels of protein interactions from extra cellular stimuli through signaling to core metabolism and that MetaCore is well designed for proteomics research.
"We were impressed by the quality of the content and unique capabilities of the visualization and analysis software in MetaCore," said Dr Koen Kas, CSO of Peakadilly.
"We are very happy that Peakadilly, well known for its innovative and high performance proteomics technologies, has chosen MetaCore as a functional analysis engine. We will be working closely with them as we further develop our proteomics offering," said Julie Bryant, Vice President of Business Development at GeneGo.
"Compared to genomics, proteomics data is more complex, yet they provide unique insights about active cell machinery."
"Proteomics data mining is an important area in our technology development and one for which we have been awarded government grants."
