Teem Photonics Chooses PI’s NanoCube® for 3D Structuring Applications

Read time: Less than a minute

Typically used in microfluidics, cell biology and the manufacture of photonic crystal structures in micro-optics, the µFab3D system uses two-photon absorption to produce 3D polymer, protein, metal or other biomaterials microstructures. The integration of PI’s versatile P-611 NanoCube into the µFab3D system enables precise alignment of laser and machining points, achieving resolution of 200 nm at speeds of up to 100 µm/s, for homogenous, high quality results.

Measuring just 44 mm, the easy to integrate, piezo actuator driven P-611 NanoCube is suitable for travel ranges up to 100 x 100 x 100 µm and can achieve resolution of up to 0.2 nm, with millisecond response times. The basic, open-loop model is designed for applications where fast response and very high resolution are essential, but absolute positioning is not critical, while the closed-loop version is ideal for applications requiring both high accuracy and positioning precision. The compact P-611 NanoCube systems are equipped with preloaded PICMA® high performance piezo actuators, integrated into a sophisticated, frictionless flexure guiding system.  Actuators, guides and sensors are maintenance-free and not subject to wear, offering long lifetime and an extraordinary reliability.
