Waters Corporation CEO to Officiate at New Facility Opening in Brasov, Romania

On Thursday, September 28, Waters Corporation will officially inaugurate its Romanian Software Development Center, a new facility that employs more than 160 software engineers, applications support, product owners and support staff. At a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 1 p.m. EEST time Waters CEO Chris O’Connell will address employees, contractors, academic and community leaders.
The new 3,500 Sq m site is home to the largest contingent of Waters software engineers outside of corporate headquarters in the United States. Employees in Brasov create state-of-the-art enterprise software applications which deliver benefit to new and existing customers working in various academic, government and corporate laboratories throughout the world.
The company’s world-class software products – Empower, MassLynx, NuGenesis and UNIFI – are used primarily by drug manufacturers to manage liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry test data at all stages of the product lifecycle - discovery, development and manufacturing - to meet the highest standards of product efficacy, safety, and quality.
Members of Waters Brasov team are skilled in C# to C++, Java, Linux, Mobile and AWS allowing Waters products to stay at the cutting edge of customer demand.
