The advantages of DBS are:

•    Only low amount (25 μL) of test material needed
•    Minimal sample processing needed
•    Sample storage and shipment at ambient temperature possible

However automation of the DBS workflow is needed to enable a through put that can compete with conventional plasma analysis. This poster details how the SCAP™ DBS System allows fully-automated DBS analysis via LC-MS/MS without need of time-consuming spot punching and manual extraction.
