Dolomite Introduces Droplet Collection System

Read time: Less than a minute
Dolomite’s new Droplet Collection System is the latest addition to it’s range of Droplet Systems which has been developed to enable rapid advances in droplet microfluidics. Developed for generation, collection and analysis of droplets, this modular system benefits a wide range of applications including drug delivery, synthesis of polymeric microspheres for diagnostics and biotechnology, studies of droplet coalescence as well as emulsion chemistry. It provides a complete toolkit enabling the immediate generation of highly monodispersed droplets (aqueous or organic) from Ø 10µm to 150µm.

The system features two Mitos P-Pumps providing pulseless and stable liquid flow, as well as the Mitos Droplet Collection Module, an innovative quartz vessel enabling droplets to be collected without flow disruption and droplet coalescence.

The pressure driven pumps and flow resistors enable control over flow rates and droplet size, providing an advanced and flexible solution for droplet formation.

In addition, quick changes to flow conditions enable fast optimization of droplet parameters. A broad range of accessories, including high-speed optical systems, larger reservoirs, reagent kits and flow sensors provide an additional level of user flexibility.
