SWISSCI are pleased to announce the launch of ultrafiltration concentrators Converse S and L.

The company claims the products have been designed to maximise sample recovery and are well suited for particle-laden solutions. The reverse direction of flow compared to standard ultrafiltration combined with a large membrane surface area leads to rapid processing times and excellent sample recovery.

Through testing it has been shown that high concentration factors are possible to be reached. Swissci state that the devices are able to run with specially designed Pressure Caps, eliminating the need for a centrifuge. They state the advantages of utilising the Pressure Caps over the centrifuge is significantly faster processing times as well as enhanced sample recovery and concentration factor. The Converse S takes up to 8ml test solution and L takes up to 20ml. A variety of Molecular Weight Cut Offs are available including 3 kDa,10 kDa, 30 kDa and 100 kDa.
