Polylinks Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification

PolyLinks, Inc., has announced that it has been recommended to receive the Certificate of Recognition for operating a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008.
“This is a real milestone for our company,” said PolyLinks founder and President Joe Malasky. “It represents years of hard work and a culture change-not just in regards to quality, but also the entire process of designing and making products. ISO certification can be expensive. We’ve created a system that keeps our goal of maintaining the highest possible production standards at the forefront of our daily operations, and with minimal overhead costs.”
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was established in 1947 and is (currently) an association of approximately 157 members, which each represent their own country.
ISO employs a system of Technical Committees, Subcommittees and Working Groups to develop International Standards.
Some examples of ISO 9001:2008 requirements for a Quality Management System include: A set of procedures covering all key processes in the business; monitoring processes to ensure they are effective; maintaining adequate records; checking output for defects, with appropriate and corrective action where necessary; regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness; and facilitating continual improvement. The audit was carried out by AQA International.
