Tosoh Bioscience Expands the SkillPak® Series of Pre-Packed Columns

Tosoh Bioscience LLC, a provider of chromatographic solutions for the separation and purification of biomolecules, has announced the introduction of 2.5 and 5.0 cm ID SkillPak pre-packed columns (SkillPak 50 and SkillPak 200). These process development columns are designed for the process development of monoclonal antibodies, antibody fragments, ADCs, oligonucleotides, and viruses.

SkillPak Pre-packed Columns

Pre-packed with TOYOPEARL^® or TSKgel^® process chromatography media, all SkillPak columns deliver high performance and offer scalability and convenience – giving customers greater flexibility to use process media from Tosoh. The new SkillPak 50 (2.5 cm ID × 10 cm L; ~50 mL) and SkillPak 200 (5.0 cm ID × 10 cm L; ~200 mL) allow seamless scale-up of chromatography processes after method development on 1 mL and 5 mL SkillPak pre-packed columns.

SkillPak columns packed with affinity, anion and cation exchange, hydrophobic interaction, and size exclusion chromatographic resins (respectively, AFC, AEX, CEX, HIC, and SEC) are available with short delivery times. Optimal performance is guaranteed with the columns, and they can be operated directly with commonly used low or medium pressure liquid chromatography systems. They are reproducibly packed, and the applied procedures take into account the varying compressibility of each resin. This provides an accurate representation of conditions found in full-scale columns.

SkillPak 50 and SkillPak 200 pre-packed columns are now available for sale in the Americas from Tosoh Bioscience LLC.
