Genes and Growth Disorders: A Case Study

As a pediatric endocrinologist, Andrew Dauber, M.D., MMSc, chief of endocrinology at Children’s National Health System, works in all areas of pediatric endocrinology, but specializes in studying and treating severe growth disorders.

A mutation to the PAPPA2 gene, observed in two families, allows Dauber and his research team to study atypical growth patterns, which helps personalize treatment for children with severe growth disorders.
